This project was all about creating stunning images of boats using a drone. I wanted to create a collection of images that were minimalistic but beautiful to use as backgrounds on phones, iPads, and desktops.
During this project, I took multiple pictures in beautiful Italy in locations like Trieste, Lago di Santa Croce, and Jesolo using my drone.
The challenge with this project was finding boats that were in a nice location that was not too busy and distracting while still following the rules when flying a UAV.
Driving around the shore from Trieste to Jesolo I stopped at open cliff-like locations to see if there were people with boats to take pictures of. And so I did.
For this project, I used my drone to make the images as these are from a perspective that most humans don’t see daily so like this, I could get very unique images. I used Lightroom to edit the images and get them ready to be used as backgrounds.
During this project, I learned a lot about communication, timing, and settings of the drone. Ì have improved my editing skills and my composition skills.
